Description
This ad is to serve as public notice that the NYS Office of Children and Family Services has been approved to do a 5-year grant with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA), through it's Wendy's Wonderful Kids program, to provide training, support and monitoring to local DSS and voluntary agencies. The DTFA has national expertise in finding homes for children available for adoption and will provide a match portion of the funding to support the work.
The focus is on children ages 9 and older whom are legally freed for adoption.
NYS WWK success to date includes:
213 adoptions
30 guardianships
27 reunifications
The grant will continue this work.
