Description
The City of Buena Vista is seeking engineering services for a Community Development Block Grant project. The project will consist of sewer, water, or street and drainage improvements. The selected engineer will be responsible for providing a preliminary engineering report, final design, plans and specifications, obtaining necessary permits and/or easements, and supervising construction and project closeout. The engineer will also be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all BABA documentation during construction. The proposal should include personal references, a description of the firm's approach to the project, a brief history of the firm and its principals, key personnel, and a costs schedule.
• The project is a Section 3 Covered Contract and Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.
• The engineer will be responsible for producing a preliminary engineering report within 30 days of selection.
• The contract will be written for a "direct costs plus fixed fee, not to exceed a lump sum."
• The offeror should include the percentage fee that is normally charged for design and construction supervision on this size project.
