Upgrade Dam Control Facilities – Shikellamy State Park

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking qualified contractors to upgrade the dam‑control facilities at Shikellamy State Park. The work includes demolition of an existing dam‑control building, construction of a new two‑story building addition, a new bituminous driveway, relocation of mechanical equipment, installation of a new HVAC mini‑split system, new electrical distribution, an emergency generator, and an inflatable dam‑control system with PLC‑based controls. The contract will be awarded on a lump‑sum basis and must be completed within a 545‑day schedule. • Demolition, concrete foundations, steel framing, masonry, roofing, and interior finishes. • Mechanical upgrades: new HVAC, air‑compressor piping, blowers, and a 150 kW emergency generator. • Electrical upgrades: new service entrance, panelboards, lighting, TVSS, and a PLC‑controlled inflatable dam system. • Required compliance with Pennsylvania construction, environmental, safety, and prevailing‑wage statutes; up to 49 % of the work may be subcontracted with DCNR approval.
