SW District, City of Mount Vernon, to construct approximately 1900 feet of 5-foot-wide ADA and MoDOT compliant sidewalks, crosswalks, and lighting

The City of Mount Vernon is seeking bids for the construction of approximately 1900 feet of 5-foot wide ADA and MoDOT compliant sidewalks, crosswalks, and lighting. The project begins at the intersection of Hickory Street and Dallas Street and continues south along both sides of Hickory Street for approximately 950 feet, terminating at Cherry Street. The project will provide new ADA compliant curb ramps, sidewalks, and crosswalks on both sides of Hickory Street. • The successful bidder will be furnished with three complete sets of plans and specifications. • All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality. • The City of Mount Vernon will affirmatively ensure that businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids. • All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, 2023 Edition.
