Description

The University of Wisconsin‑Madison’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking bids for a single inert‑gas‑fusion analyzer capable of simultaneous oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen measurement, including all accessories, consumables, installation, and training. The vendor must be the original manufacturer or an authorized distributor with service and repair capabilities, must provide U.S. NRTL certification, and must submit a detailed technical proposal covering specifications, warranty, lead‑time (≤ 5 months after PO), and optional future automation software. The contract will be paid Net 30 after acceptance, and the bid must be submitted electronically via the ShopUW+ Sourcing Module by the deadline. • Supply one inert‑gas‑fusion analyzer with required furnace power, detection systems, and software. • Include shipping, installation, training, consumables (crucibles, reagents), spare‑parts list, and warranty details. • Provide separate pricing for a future automation API/remote‑control software upgrade (option, not included in base price). • Demonstrate compliance with NRTL certification, warranty of at least one year, and ability to deliver within five months of purchase order receipt.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $150,000

Based on market pricing for inert‑gas‑fusion analyzers (typically $30K–$100K for the base instrument) plus required accessories, consumables, installation, training, and optional automation software, the total contract value is likely to fall between $50,000 and $150,000. The lower end assumes a basic instrument with minimal accessories; the higher end reflects a fully equipped system with extensive spare‑parts, consumables, and a future automation upgrade.
