FXSB 26-7337 Repair Replace Hangar Roof B11551

The US Air Force is seeking a design-build contractor to repair and replace the roof of a historic hangar building, B11551. The building is approximately 75,000 square feet and has a high barrel roof section, as well as three lower roof lean-to sections. The project will involve removing the existing built-up roof and replacing it with a new 3-ply SBS-Modified BUR roof assembly on the barrel roof section, and new 90-mil EPDM roof assemblies on the lower roof lean-to sections. The contractor will also need to replace existing roof drains, flashings, vent pipe flashing, cover board, insulation, vapor barrier, cant strips, metal copings, and trim. • The building is a historic property eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. • The project will require the removal of the existing built-up roof and the installation of new roofing assemblies. • The contractor will need to replace existing roof components, including drains, flashings, and trim. • The project will involve working on a large, historic building with multiple roof sections. • The contractor will need to ensure that the new roofing assemblies are fully adhered and meet the required specifications.
