South Main Booster Station

The City of Bloomington, Illinois, is seeking bids for the South Main Booster Station project. The project involves the upgrade of water distribution facilities, including site work, yard piping, structural, architectural, process piping and equipment, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, and instrumentation and control. The bid must include all sections and work except for Bid Line Item #2, which is a 5% contingency based on the total bid amount. The City of Bloomington reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities. • The project requires compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the City's Ordinance regarding project labor agreements. • The bid must be submitted via the City's e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov, by May 27, 2026, at 10:00 am CST. • A pre-bid meeting will be held on May 4, 2026, at 10:30 am, but attendance is not mandatory. • The City encourages bidders to submit questions and requests for clarification through the ProcureNow Question/Answer Tab. • The bid must include a bid guaranty of at least 10% of the bid amount. • The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price within ten business days after the bid award.
