26-041 W. Wright Street Sidewalk Improvements

The City of Pensacola is seeking bids for the W. Wright Street Sidewalk Improvements Project. The project involves improving pedestrian connectivity along the West Wright Street corridor by demolishing pavement, excavating, constructing curb and gutter, installing formwork, placing asphalt, and adjusting utility enclosures. The project also includes the placement of 2 parallel segments of 2” PVC electric conduit and electric pull boxes behind the newly constructed sidewalk. The contractor will be required to maintain traffic, keep the site tidy, and ensure erosion and sedimentation control. The project has a 45 calendar-day completion goal following Notice to Proceed. • The project requires the contractor to meet accessibility requirements, including grading and finishing to achieve required cross and running slopes, placement of detectable warning plates, and construction of ramps that do not cause ponding of or impede the flow of stormwater. • The contractor must provide qualified personnel for sampling, testing, and inspection of materials and construction activities. • The contractor must ensure that all work is performed in accordance with City of Pensacola standards and specifications. • The contractor must provide a suitable means for keeping hand tools clean and must furnish a suitable saw or drill for obtaining required density cores. • The contractor must develop and implement a method to control the compaction of the pavement and ensure its compliance with minimum specified density requirements.
