Modular Firing Ranges

The United States Secret Service (USSS) is seeking a contractor to design and build two 12-lane, 50-yard modular firing ranges at the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC) in Laurel, Maryland. The ranges will be used for weapon system training and qualification. The contractor will be responsible for designing, fabricating, delivering, and assembling the modular range systems, as well as providing all necessary personnel, equipment, and materials. The project includes site preparation, foundation work, structural construction, and installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The contractor must ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and JJRTC requirements. Key features of the project include: • Design and construction of two 12-lane, 50-yard modular firing ranges • Site preparation and grading • Foundation work, including excavation and construction of foundations • Structural construction, including steel or concrete framing • Installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems • Provision of a dedicated transformer and electrical power distribution • Installation of fire suppression systems and security access control • Provision of a weapons cleaning room and ammunition storage The contractor must also ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the approved project schedule and that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
