Bulk Laundry Services

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide bulk laundry services, including pick-up, laundering, and drop-off of multiple linen and other articles. The services will take place during the University's busy conference season, typically from May 15 to August 15, with limited additional laundry services conducted year-round. The typical annual total weight of laundry serviced during the conference season is approximately 40,000 pounds. Key aspects of the job include: • Pick-up and drop-off of linens twice per week • Handling and processing of linens in accordance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines • Delivery of clean linens in clean hampers, packaged to prevent contamination • Tracking of all laundered items from pick-up to return • Pricing per pound, including all transportation charges • Compliance with the University's infection control program and quality control standards
