The State of Missouri's Department of Health and Senior Services is seeking proposals to expand existing graduate medical education programs in rural areas. The goal is to increase the number of physicians practicing in rural Missouri, addressing the shortage of primary care physicians and improving access to healthcare in these areas. • The contractor shall expand an existing Missouri GME program to add an accredited rural track program (RTP) for the Department of Health and Senior Services.
• The contractor shall train residents for greater than fifty percent (50%) of total residency training in a clinical training site physically located in a rural area.
• The contractor shall participate in an annual, in-person, multi-day GME meeting and other virtual and/or in-person meetings and/or training, as required by the state agency.
• The contractor shall evaluate their activities outlined in their approved workplan and report their progress to the state agency.
