LPD-18 DECK INSIDE COAMING FOR ASW DUPLEX STRAINER; PRESERVE DECK INSIDE COAMING FOR LPAC NO.2; PRESERVE/

The US Navy is seeking a contractor to preserve the deck inside coaming for the ASW duplex strainer and LPAC No.2 on the USS New Orleans (LPD-18). The work includes removing existing piping, disconnecting and removing the LPAC and dehydrator, cleaning and preserving the deck surface, and reinstalling the LPAC and dehydrator. The contractor must be able to demonstrate their authorization to perform the required work within Japan. • The contractor will be responsible for preserving the deck surface, including removing existing coating and applying a new coating. • The contractor will be required to disconnect and remove the LPAC and dehydrator, and then reinstall them after the preservation work is complete. • The contractor will need to ensure that all work is done in accordance with the relevant military standards and specifications. • The contractor will be required to provide a report listing the results of the preservation work, including any issues or problems encountered.
