The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking potential providers for a Food Safety Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) System. The system should be capable of detecting a minimum of six distinct targets simultaneously within a single reaction, have a minimum dynamic range of 10 logs, and be compatible with current validated Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast Real-Time PCR System assays. The system should also have a sample format of 96-well, 0.1ml reaction block configuration, and be able to partition the block into six independent temperature control zones. The FDA is looking for providers who can supply the system, which should be made in America, and is also open to small business manufacturers.
• The system should be newly manufactured, latest model, not used, refurbished, or previously used for demonstration.
• The system should be fully compatible with current validated Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast Real-Time PCR System assays without requiring assay revalidation or modification.
• The system should be capable of detecting target quantity differences as low as 1.5-fold in singleplex reactions sensitivity.
• The system should have a minimum of 6 decoupled excitation and emission filter channels (96-well format configuration) multi-channel detection.
• The system should have factory calibration for the following fluorescent dyes at minimum: FAM, SYBR Green, VIC, ABY, NED, TAMRA, JUN, ROX, Mustang Purple, and Cy5 Dye Compatibility.
