Repair Base Switching Station

The United States Air Force is seeking a contractor to repair and modernize the existing distribution switching station at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. The project involves constructing a new building to serve as a switchgear enclosure, transitioning loads from the existing distribution switching station to the new one, and demolishing the existing station. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary materials, labor, and equipment to complete the project. The scope of work includes procurement of equipment and materials, construction of the new switching station, transitioning of distribution loads, coordination with Idaho Power Company, and demolition of the existing station. • The project requires compliance with various standards, codes, and regulations, including UFC, International Codes, and International Standards. • The contractor must provide a list of key personnel for security vetting and ensure that all personnel have the necessary licenses and certifications. • The contractor must also provide a schedule of values, progress reports, and invoices on a monthly basis. • The project has a period of performance of 850 calendar days, with pre-construction activities limited to 120 calendar days and construction activities limited to 730 calendar days.
