The United States Air Force (USAF) is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data, repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the repair of the Altimeter NSN: 6610-01-459-7535. The acquisition strategy is a five-year contract with a projected requirement of 3 units per year, totaling 15 units over the five-year period. The Altimeter measures altitude by dial indication transmitted by synchro from a remote source and is designed for use in aircraft where accuracy is required to meet altitude separation requirements. • The contract will be for a basic period plus four option years. • The Government is seeking sources with experience in repairing similar components. • Sources are encouraged to provide documentation that supports their company's capability in meeting the requirements. • The Government will determine the final strategy after thorough analysis of the small business responses and other market research available. • Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. • Joint ventures or teaming arrangements are encouraged.
