Call for Sculptural Art

The Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) is seeking artists or artist teams to design, fabricate, and install three‑dimensional sculptural artwork to hang from the ceiling of the REO Town Headquarters lobby. The piece can be any size, number of components, or medium, but must reflect BWL’s identity and its connection to the Lansing community. Proposals must include artist qualifications, work samples, a detailed artistic concept, a project timeline, and a budget. Evaluation will consider cost, adherence to the theme, and how well the concept ties to BWL and the local community. Submissions are to be made electronically through the IonWave portal by the close date. • Open to individual artists or artist teams (Ingham County residents encouraged). • No size or material limits – creative freedom to align with BWL branding. • Required deliverables: resume/artist statement, ≥3 work samples, concept description, timeline, and budget. • Evaluation criteria: cost, specifications, thematic relevance. • Submission window: 9/4/2026 – 10/2/2026 via IonWave (no email submissions). • Questions must be submitted by 9/24/2026.
