Description
The project involves the construction of water and sewer line improvements in the Central Estates and Praxedis Saldivar colonias in Brownsville, Texas. The scope of work includes the installation of sanitary sewer pipes, manholes, and force mains, as well as the testing and inspection of the completed work. The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project. The project is funded by the Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) program.
• The project requires the installation of approximately 8,000 linear feet of 8-inch to 12-inch diameter sanitary sewer pipe.
• The project includes the construction of 15 manholes, each with a diameter of 48 inches.
• The project requires the installation of approximately 2,000 linear feet of 4-inch to 8-inch diameter force main pipe.
• The contractor will be required to perform leakage tests and deflection tests on the completed pipes.
• The project requires the installation of cast iron manhole frames and covers, as well as ring grates and adjustment rings.
