The USDA Forest Service seeks treatment of approximately 121 acres of non-native invasive plant infestations spread along approximately 200 miles of roads and trails on National Forest System land at locations in St. Louis, Lake, and Cook Counties, Minnesota. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, herbicides, dyes, surfactants, supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals except those designated in the statement of work as government-furnished property.
• The treatment will occur between July 13, 2026, and October 2, 2026, for the base period, with four option years.
• The contractor must report treatment progress to the Contracting Officer's Representative every weekday.
• The contractor is required to provide the Forest Service with herbicide use and application records at the completion of spraying activities.
• Motor vehicles associated with non-native invasive plant (NNIP) treatment shall not be operated in wetlands while the ground surface is inundated or saturated, or in forested areas where the equipment is not capable of passage without damage to overstory (canopy) trees.
• Equipment refueling and herbicide mixing will not be done in wetlands, poorly drained soil, filter strips, or riparian management zones.
• Herbicide application will only occur when wind speeds are less than 10 mph, or according to label direction, to minimize herbicide drift.
• Weather forecasts will be obtained prior to herbicide treatment, and treatment activities will be halted, if necessary, to prevent runoff during heavy rain events.
