The project involves the modernization of three traction-geared elevators, including the removal and replacement of elevator controllers, and the provision of modifications and upgrades to fully refurbish and modernize the elevators. The work includes the installation of new ADA-compliant hall signals and call station indicators, new elevator car interiors, and the cleaning and painting of elevator equipment rooms and pits. The project also involves the installation of a new emergency power generator and the provision of seismic bracing details. The contractor will be required to maintain, patch, and repair any openings, structures, walls, floors, finishes, insulation, piping, identification, electrical, plumbing, and controls that are disturbed by demolition or new work.
