Description
This addendum revises the original solicitation for the Gabrielino High School Building B & E HVAC replacement project. It adds a new HVAC commissioning specification (Section 23 08 00) and replaces the fire‑alarm specification (Section 28 46 20) with detailed requirements for Gamewell/FCI fire‑alarm equipment, licensing, certification, testing, and performance‑bond obligations. The contractor must provide comprehensive commissioning, testing, and balancing services, coordinate with a Commissioning Authority (CxA), and submit extensive documentation. The project’s scope includes full HVAC system replacement, testing/balancing, fire‑alarm device installation, and integration with the existing control panel.
• Fire‑alarm work requires a California C10‑licensed contractor, ≥ 5 years experience, use of Gamewell/FCI equipment, and certification of all installers.
• HVAC commissioning demands a qualified contractor to perform TAB, provide instruments, submit plans, and give the CxA 10‑day notice before any testing.
• All work must be documented and handed over to the CxA for inclusion in the Systems Manual; deviations > 10 % will cause rejection of final reports.
