Description
The North Hunterdon‑Voorhees Regional High School District Board of Education is seeking a qualified attorney or law firm to serve as its general‑counsel for a one‑year retainer covering a full suite of school‑board legal services. The contractor will attend Board meetings, draft and review policies, provide ethics training, advise on personnel, contracts, procurement, special‑education, student discipline, and other matters, and will also be available for urgent communications. Litigation services are billed separately on an hourly basis.
• Attend monthly Board meetings and special sessions, providing real‑time legal advice.
• Draft, review, and advise on policies, contracts, leases, and procurement documents.
• Deliver annual ethics training, monitor legal developments, and respond to Board inquiries within 24 hours.
• Provide hourly litigation representation as needed, with rates and support‑staff hourly rates submitted in the proposal.
• Maintain professional liability insurance and comply with NJ affirmative‑action, non‑collusion, and political‑contribution disclosure requirements.
