Description

The City of Denton is seeking qualified suppliers to provide fully assembled, tested electric utility instrument transformers for a range of voltage classes (13.2 kV to 345 kV). Transformers must be delivered FOB to the Spencer Utility Site or other substations, shipped on open flat‑bed trucks, and include full documentation (drawings, test reports, warranties). The contract allows item‑by‑item selection across vendors, requires compliance with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards, and mandates a minimum 12‑month warranty from first energization. Suppliers must handle any damaged freight, provide shipment notices, and support field installation assistance as needed. • Deliver fully assembled instrument transformers (PT, CT, CCVT) for 13.2 kV‑345 kV systems. • FOB delivery to Denton substations; open‑flatbed truck shipment, unloading by City. • Full compliance with ANSI C93.1, C93.2, IEEE C57.13, and related standards. • Provide detailed design drawings (AutoCAD), certified test reports, and a minimum 12‑month warranty. • Pricing must be all‑inclusive (freight, fees, commissions). • Supplier responsible for any shipping damage and for warranty‑related repairs/replacements. • Submission via IONWAVE or hard copy only; questions due 10/12/2026.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $3,000,000

The solicitation does not disclose a total contract value. Instrument transformers for high‑voltage utility applications typically range from $50,000 to $300,000 per unit depending on voltage class and specifications. Assuming the City will procure multiple units across the five voltage levels, a reasonable estimate for the overall award could fall between $500,000 (few low‑voltage units) and $3,000,000 (several high‑voltage units with extensive warranties and documentation). Factors influencing the final amount include the quantity of each transformer type, optional accessories, freight costs, and any volume discounts negotiated.
