Downtown Enhanced Services Zone (DESZ)

The City of St. Petersburg is seeking a vendor to provide on-site ambassador services in the Downtown Enhanced Services Zone (DESZ). The DESZ will cover approximately 226 acres and will require the vendor to provide a variety of services, including hospitality and safety outreach, cleaning and maintenance, and community engagement. The vendor will be responsible for managing a team of ambassadors who will provide these services, and will be required to work closely with City departments and local organizations to ensure the success of the program. The contract will be for an initial term of three years, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. Some key responsibilities of the vendor will include: • Providing hospitality and safety outreach services to the public, including greeting and engaging with visitors, assisting with wayfinding, and responding to inquiries • Performing cleaning and maintenance services, including routine pickup and disposal of trash and litter, emptying and servicing public trash receptacles, and pressure washing of sidewalks and hardscapes • Developing and implementing a community engagement plan to promote the DESZ and encourage community involvement • Coordinating with City departments and local organizations to ensure the success of the program • Providing a visible presence and enhancing safety at downtown events and in the DESZ
