Description
The City of Los Angeles is seeking bids for the construction of a 150-foot long debris wall on the southwest side of Mulholland Drive. The project includes removal of an existing unpermitted retaining wall, construction of a new debris wall with cast in drilled hole (CIDH) piles and steel wide flange beams, fencing, and removal and replacement of the concrete curb. The project is funded by the Senate Bill 1 (SB-1) Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation funds.
• The project site is located in a residential area and was affected by rainfall events that caused slope failures and debris accumulation.
• The proposed scope of work includes construction of a new debris wall to prevent future debris flow onto Mulholland Drive.
• The City Engineer's estimate for the project is $749,295.00.
• Only pre-qualified contractors on the Pre-Qualified List of Contractors can bid on this project as a Prime Contractor.
