Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Craneworks Inc. for crane repair services. The services include annual inspections, weight/load testing, monthly inspections, preventative/basic maintenance, service requests, and repairs. Craneworks Inc. is uniquely qualified to provide these services due to their compliance with the mandatory NAVFAC P-307 regulatory requirement.
• The contract will be for crane repair services to support the Operations Department, Infrastructure Division weight handling program.
• The services will be provided on a firm fixed price basis.
• The contract is expected to be awarded on a sole source basis due to Craneworks Inc.'s unique qualifications and the lack of other vendors that meet the NAVFAC P-307 requirements.
• The government estimates that using another vendor would result in an unacceptable delay of 12-18 months and a substantial duplication of cost.
