Description
The Town of Townsend is seeking a qualified contractor to construct a reinforced concrete slab foundation for a National Fitness Campaign (NFC) Fitness Court at the Townsend Center. The work includes site preparation, formwork, reinforcement, concrete placement, finishing, and cleanup. The total contract amount shall not exceed $30,000. The contractor must have a minimum of five years of experience in commercial or municipal concrete work and demonstrate successful completion of similar slab or flatwork projects. The contractor must also comply with Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Law and all applicable state and federal regulations. Key aspects of the project include:
* Site preparation, excavation, and base preparation
* Formwork, vapor barrier, and reinforcement
* Concrete mix, placement, and finishing
* Control joints and cleanup
* Demobilization and site restoration
* Compliance with Massachusetts building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards
* Provision of insurance certificates and bonds
* Adherence to the project schedule and budget
The Town will evaluate proposals based on responsiveness, experience, references, technical approach, and cost.
