Description
The City of Salina seeks a qualified entity to assume full management and daily operation of its municipal animal shelter, covering administration, animal husbandry, adoption services, and facility upkeep. The contractor must secure licensing, provide veterinary care, run adoption and volunteer programs, and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while delivering public service hours and a transition plan for a Jan 1 2027 start.
• Manage a 10,100 sq ft shelter plus a 630 sq ft surgery suite and outdoor exercise area.
• Provide comprehensive animal care, adoption services, and compliance reporting.
• Deliver staffing plan, financial budgeting (3‑year), and insurance coverage; all work must begin by Jan 1 2027 with a 1‑year contract term (possible two 1‑year renewals).
