Bridge Repairs

Oconee County is soliciting bids for the repair of two bridges and the possible expansion joint seam replacement on five bridges throughout the County. The contractor must be GDOT pre-certified. The project includes cleaning and painting bearings, repairing scour, and replacing expansion joint seams. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and traffic control necessary to perform the repair work. • The project includes two bridges: Simonton Bridge Road over Middle Oconee River and Barnett Shoals Road over Oconee River. • The contractor must provide all necessary signage and traffic control devices. • The contractor must maintain a safe and continuous vehicular access at all times, unless otherwise approved by Oconee County. • The contractor must provide qualified flagmen where necessary to direct traffic. • The contractor must take all necessary precautions for the protection of the work and the safety of the public.
