Description
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a lease using other than full and open competition to an approved Academic Affiliate for approximately 42,000 Net Usable Square Feet (NUSF) of Medical Research space in the area of Mission Bay, CA. The lease term will be up to 20 years. The space must meet minimum lease technical requirements, including all VA/GSA accessibility, seismic, fire protection/life safety, and physical security requirements.
• The space must be located within a specific delineated area in Mission Bay, CA.
• The space must be compatible with VA's intended use.
• The space must have a loading dock or loading area and a freight elevator if the loading area is on a different level.
• The space must be located in close proximity to amenities, including restaurants, pharmacies, and shopping, and to public transportation.
• The space must not be located in close proximity to residential or industrial areas, or to property with incompatible uses.
