Description
Kansas DOT is seeking a qualified consulting firm to perform statewide bridge inspection services for the local‑road bridge system, focusing on two specialized inspection categories: Non‑Redundant Steel Tension Member (NSTM) visual/ultrasonic inspections and Pin & Hanger (P/H) ultrasonic inspections. The work will be delivered under a four‑year program agreement (FY 2027‑FY 2030) and must satisfy KDOT’s data‑entry, reporting, and compliance requirements, including the use of the inspectX system and adherence to federal bridge‑inspection regulations.
• Inspect 59 local bridges for NSTM members (7 on a 12‑month cycle, 52 on a 24‑month cycle).
• Inspect 34 local bridges for Pin & Hanger connections (6 on a 12‑month cycle, 10 on a 24‑month cycle, 18 on a 48‑month cycle).
• Provide annual cost estimates, final cost‑per‑bridge reporting, draft and final inspection reports, and upload all data to KDOT’s inspectX platform.
• Maintain a qualified team (pre‑qualified in KDOT Category 322 – Bridge Inspection) and comply with the 2025‑effective American Security Drone Act (no foreign‑origin drones) and all federal bridge‑inspection statutes (23 CFR Part 650 Subpart C).
• Submit a single PDF proposal (≤ 10 MB, ≤ 6 pages) with required special attachments (Tax Clearance, Sexual Harassment Policy, Certification of No Procurement of Covered Telecom Equipment).
