NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to award a sole source contract to Maritech, LLC for the procurement of Strain Gauge Alignment Measurements for the USCGC Campbell. The requirement is for an outside contractor to perform technical strain gauge analysis of the propulsion shaft line to determine the loading condition on bearings. The results of these measurements will be used to identify early bearing failures or the need for more intrusive work which could affect project schedules and cost. • The contract is for a firm-fixed-price purchase order. • The estimated total value of the procurement is $32,680.00. • The procurement is conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. • Maritech, LLC is believed to be the sole source capable of fulfilling this requirement due to their proprietary instrumentation, techniques, and algorithms. • The contract is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations, but interested parties may submit a capability statement.
