The State of Alabama, via the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide full‑service hazardous chemical disposal for a list of solvents, acids, bases, and specialty reagents generated by its Birmingham Laboratory. The award will go to the supplier that meets all specifications, can schedule service immediately upon receipt of a purchase order, and can handle the complete job—including fingerprinting, profiling, manifesting, transportation, and final disposal—within a tight time frame.
• Disposal of approximately 100 L of mixed hazardous waste (primarily 4‑L containers) including chloroform, sulfuric acid, mercury‑containing compounds, and controlled substances such as ethylmorphine.
• Required capabilities: EPA/RCRA hazardous‑waste permits, DEA registration (for controlled substances), secure transport, proper manifesting, and certified disposal methods (incineration, neutralization, etc.).
• Supplier must be “ready to schedule service upon receipt of the purchase order,” indicating a rapid‑response, on‑call capability.
