Description

The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation are seeking contractors to replace approximately 8.7 mi (45,825 ft) of boundary fencing in the South Omak Lake Wildlife Management Area. The work is split into two separate contracts (Bid 1 ≈ 3.6 mi; Bid 2 ≈ 5.0 mi) and must be completed by 30 Nov 2026. The fence must meet “Pronghorn‑Friendly” specifications, using four‑strand 12.5‑gauge wire, metal T‑posts spaced ≤ 16 ft, H‑braces, and 17‑ft gates. Contractors must attend a mandatory site inspection on 14 Apr 2026, provide a full set of certifications (Blue Card, Title 10, SAM, insurance, waste‑disposal plan), and submit sealed bids by 20 Apr 2026. No advance payments; partial payments are made upon verified completion of work segments. • Replace/repair 45,825 ft of wildlife‑friendly fence, installing metal T‑posts, H‑braces, and gates per tribal specs. • Remove and dispose of existing barbed wire, damaged posts, and debris; reuse suitable metal posts. • Comply with Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance, NRCS standards, fire‑safety protocols, and cultural‑resource protection requirements. • Mandatory site visit on 14 Apr 2026; bid submission deadline 20 Apr 2026, work must finish by 30 Nov 2026.

Budget estimate

$1,200,000 – $2,500,000

Because the solicitation does not disclose a budget, we estimate based on typical fence‑installation costs (≈ $30–$55 per linear foot for heavy‑duty, wildlife‑friendly fencing with metal posts and H‑braces). Multiplying $30–$55 by 45,825 ft yields a range of roughly $1.4 M to $2.5 M for the combined contracts. Adding overhead, mobilization, and disposal fees could push the high end to about $2.5 M, while a very efficient contractor might complete the work near $1.2 M. Therefore, the expected award value likely falls between $1.2 M and $2.5 M.
