Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to provide full‑service waste‑tire recovery at its municipal solid‑waste landfill. The contractor will collect, load, transport, and dispose of all tires delivered to the landfill, following a monthly schedule or as directed by the City, and must comply with all applicable state and federal environmental regulations. The work includes handling five tire size categories, providing all labor, equipment, and disposal services, and maintaining accurate records for City audits.
• Remove and dispose of passenger, light‑truck, truck/equipment, and heavy‑equipment tires at the Salina landfill (4292 S Burma Road).
• Perform services on a monthly basis or upon City request, during normal landfill public‑access hours unless otherwise directed.
• Submit per‑tire invoicing for each size category; City pays within 30 days of receipt.
• Maintain required insurance (CGL $500k/$1M, auto $500k, workers’ comp, additional insured) and indemnify the City.
• Contract runs for two years (May 1 2026 – April 30 2028) with a possible early termination on April 30 2027.
