Description

The City of Pomona is seeking qualified contractors to provide on‑call, as‑needed well‑rehabilitation services for its municipal potable‑water wells across the city. The contract is a three‑year base period with two optional one‑year extensions, and the City may award to multiple firms. The contractor must perform full well‑rehabilitation procedures—including brush & bail, high‑pressure jetting, chemical treatment with NSF‑60 certified products, video surveys, pump testing, equipment installation, start‑up, disinfection, NPDES‑compliant storm‑drain management, waste disposal, and detailed monthly reporting. All work must be performed under prevailing‑wage rules, with required insurance, bonds, and a 10 % bid guarantee. • Minimum 6 years continuous experience in well rehabilitation and pump replacement; must hold a California C‑57 contractor license for at least 6 years. • Provide at least five recent similar project references and obtain a City of Pomona Business License before award. • Submit unit‑price bid sheet, bid guarantee (10 % of total bid), and comply with extensive environmental, safety, and reporting requirements (NPDES, discharge logs, monthly water‑quality data, etc.).

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $3,000,000

No contract value is disclosed, but typical municipal well‑rehabilitation contracts of this scope range from a few hundred thousand dollars to several million over a three‑year period, depending on the number of wells, chemical usage, equipment costs, and labor rates. Assuming an average of 10‑15 well interventions per year at $50‑150k each, the total contract value could be roughly $500,000‑$3,000,000.
