Description
The Town of Essex invites qualified contractors to prepare a bid for a retainer contract for heavy construction. The contract will be for a period of three years, and the selected contractor will be required to provide on-call emergency and small-scale planned construction services. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, supplies, tools, equipment, labor, and other services necessary for the construction and completion of the project. The town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bids. The bid will be awarded on the basis of the lowest total base bid sum for all crew timeline items.
Some key aspects of the job include:
* Tree and limb removal from roadways
* Washed out road surface repairs
* Washed out drainage swales
* Culvert repairs and/or replacements
* Other emergency duties as assigned by the Town of Essex
* Water service break or curb stop replacement
* Water main break
* Fire Hydrant repair or replacement
* All civil site type of work as described in SOW's provided by the Town.
