The City of Maple Grove, in partnership with RJM Construction, is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to pre‑qualify subcontractors for the Phase 2 expansion and renovation of the Maple Grove Community Center. The project will modernize existing facilities, add new program spaces, completely remodel indoor/outdoor aquatics areas, and construct a new banquet hall. Construction is slated to begin in fall 2026 with substantial completion by winter 2028. Qualified firms will be placed on a pre‑qualified list and later invited to submit competitive bids for the actual construction contracts.
• Scope covers all trade work required for the community‑center build‑out (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, interior finishes, site work).
• Pre‑qualification deadline: April 21, 2026 (responses submitted via email to Simon Midtbo).
• Optional virtual informational meeting: March 31, 2026 1 PM (registration required).
• Key dates: RFQ issued 3/30/2026, pre‑qualification results May 5, 2026, bid invitation May 28, 2026, award notification June 15, 2026.
• Contractor must be registered with Minnesota DLI, have an EMR ≤ 1.25, provide bonding capacity up to $500,000, and comply with prevailing‑wage and safety requirements.
