SUPPLY SOD

The Saint Louis County Government is soliciting bids to supply sod for the St. Louis County Parks Department. The contract will be for an initial term of 3 years, with an option to renew for an additional 2 years. The contractor will be responsible for providing and delivering sod, as well as installing it at various locations within the county. The estimated annual usage is 2,000 square yards. The contractor must provide a price for providing, delivering, and installing the sod, as well as a price for providing and delivering the sod for the county to install. The contractor must also provide a spreader bar for the rolls at no cost to the county. • The contractor must provide sod that meets the specifications outlined in the solicitation, including being strong enough to support its own weight and retain its size and shape when suspended vertically. • The contractor must lay the sod to form a solid mass with tightly fitted joints, and avoid damage to the subgrade or sod during installation. • The contractor must provide a planting schedule and work hours, and must be capable of meeting all specifications during the contract term. • The contractor must provide three references for similar work, and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
