The State of South Dakota’s Department of Health is seeking a qualified contractor to provide statewide courier services for the South Dakota Public Health Laboratory. The contractor must transport clinical, environmental, forensic, and veterinary specimens in a secure, temperature‑controlled manner, ensuring next‑day delivery across up to three geographic regions (Eastern, Central, Western SD). The work includes maintaining chain‑of‑custody, providing on‑demand and emergency pickups, and delivering detailed operational reports and invoicing. • Transport time‑critical, temperature‑sensitive laboratory specimens statewide (next‑day, Monday‑Saturday). • Must supply climate‑controlled vehicles, trained drivers, and electronic tracking/reporting systems. • Contract length is five years with the possibility of annual renewals up to a total of ten years. • Pricing can be per‑stop, per‑mile, or fixed‑route with a fuel surcharge methodology. • Contractor must meet extensive certification, de‑barment, and non‑discrimination requirements.
