The City of Pensacola is seeking bids for the expansion of the existing Long Hollow Stormwater Pond into a regional stormwater facility to mitigate flooding issues along the I-110 corridor. The project includes biodiversity in plants in the pond area to effectively "treat" the regional stormwater before it enters the Pensacola Bay, keeping Pensacola's waterways clean of harmful debris and waste. This will also attract local wildlife, providing a safe and clean water body for the community surrounding the park. • The project requires the contractor to commence work within 10 consecutive calendar days after being notified by the City of Pensacola. • The contractor must perform all work and testing in accordance with the approved phasing plan and required phasing schedule. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances, including those related to environmental protection, labor, and safety. • The contractor must provide insurance coverage, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and umbrella liability insurance. • The contractor must comply with the City's purchasing general conditions, including those related to bid bonds, payment terms, and contract termination.
