2026 Playground Replacement Project

The City and County of Broomfield is seeking proposals from qualified firms to design and build new playgrounds at three locations: Midway Park Playground, Ridgeview Playground, and Spruce Playground. The selected firm will be responsible for the full scope of design, construction, and installation, and must demonstrate experience in creating innovative, community-focused playgrounds. The project budget is $950,000, and the firm must provide a detailed cost estimate, including all labor, materials, and equipment. The design must incorporate natural materials, prioritize accessibility and inclusivity, and meet safety and accessibility standards. • The firm will collaborate with Broomfield staff to develop and finalize the design, prepare construction drawings, and coordinate permitting and installation. • The firm will assume full responsibility for the design, fabrication, shipping, assembly, and safety of the playground structures and accessories. • The firm must provide an itemized list of installed playground equipment, including type, quantity, and parts inventory. • The firm must include in the cost of installation a third-party audit by a CPSI, and provide compliance letters from the manufacturer and surfacing manufacturer/installer. • The firm must provide a detailed summary of warranties for all play equipment and installation.
