Description
The City of Eagle Pass is seeking bids for the lay down of asphalt pavement of an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 tons of Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete (“HMAC”) in various locations throughout the city. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor and equipment necessary to carry out the provisions of the specifications. The city will provide the HMAC materials, prepare the surface for asphalt paving, and perform other tasks as specified in the contract. The project requires numerous mobilizations and will be performed on an as-needed basis.
• The contractor must have the ability and experience to perform this class of work and have sufficient capital and equipment to enable the contractor to perform the work successfully.
• The contractor must provide a performance and payment bond for the full amount of the bid prior to start of work.
• The contractor must comply with all prevailing wage requirements as required by the State of Texas.
• The contractor must provide workers’ compensation insurance coverage for all employees working on the project.
• The contractor must provide a certificate of existing insurance coverage as proof of insurability.
