RFP BOROUGH ENGINEER

The Borough of Atlantic Highlands is seeking a qualified professional engineer (or firm) to serve as its Municipal Engineer on a three‑year term, providing engineering consulting, plan review, map maintenance, project supervision, and other municipal‑engineering services as directed. The contract includes a $3,000 annual retainer plus hourly rates for services, with required insurance coverage and numerous statutory certifications. Proposals must be submitted as a hard‑copy original and nine CDs by December 6 2018, 11 a.m., and the award is anticipated around January 1 2019. • Provide engineering review, advice, and supervision for Borough projects and development plans. • Maintain and update borough maps, records, and provide on‑call support for council meetings (≈24 meetings per year). • Must be a registered Professional Engineer with municipal experience and an office within ~15 mi of Atlantic Highlands. • Requires extensive certifications (ethics, affirmative‑action, ADA, pay‑to‑play, etc.) and specific liability insurance limits.
