Description
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking expressions of interest to acquire land in Atlanta, GA, for a Fisher House. The VA is looking for a parcel of approximately 1.25 acres to five acres on developable land, within a five-mile radius of the Joseph Maxwell Cleland Atlanta VA Medical Center. The site should be suitable for the purpose of a Fisher House and have access to utilities, transportation, and amenities. Interested offerors must submit an expression of interest with required items, including site location, zoning, ownership, and environmental information.
• The VA will only acquire a site based on fair market value, as determined by a qualified appraiser.
• The VA will not acquire a site within the 100-year flood plain, unless there is no practicable alternative.
• The VA will not acquire a site with restrictive covenants, unless there is no practicable alternative.
• A site selection tour will be conducted to consider sites that meet the Government's needs for this project.
