Fillmore St Bridge improvements - I25 to Monument Creek Constructability RFI

The City of Colorado Springs is seeking information from the industry for the replacement/construction of the Fillmore Bridge Project. The project involves replacing two bridges over Monument Creek and the Union Pacific Railroad. The city is looking for information on potential construction means and methods, including alternative delivery methods to decrease construction cost, time, and risk. The project has various challenges, including existing condition of the bridges, pedestrian/bicycle detours, minimizing closures, public safety, and working with the railroad. • The project is expected to have a significant impact on the community, with average annual daily traffic of 34,000 vehicles. • The city is considering four construction alternatives, including on-line replacement, north-shift alignment replacement, accelerated bridge construction, and bridge replacement under a full traffic closure. • The city is seeking information on the capabilities of the industry, including experience with bridge and roadway construction, and successful alternative delivery methods. • The city will schedule one-on-one meetings with each firm to discuss the project and answer questions.
