Description
The New Buffalo Area Schools is seeking a qualified contractor to resurface the MS/HS West parking lot. The project involves asphalt removal, site preparation, asphalt installation, and striping. The contractor must demonstrate experience with asphalt milling and resurfacing, capability to perform grading, compaction, and paving work, proper insurance and licensing for work in Michigan, and ability to meet school site safety requirements. The proposal must include company information, cost proposal, project schedule, materials and methods, and insurance.
• The project requires the removal of existing asphalt and replacement with new asphalt.
• The contractor must meet MDOT Tier 2 specifications and use 64-22 asphalt binder.
• The contractor is responsible for utility locating prior to excavation.
• The project start date is no earlier than July 1, 2026.
• The contractor must coordinate work to minimize disruption to school operations and maintain a clean and safe worksite.
