Description
The Wake Technical Community College is seeking a design consulting firm to provide full design and construction administration services for the modernization of two passenger elevators in Building HA on the Perry Health Sciences Campus. The scope of work includes evaluation for replacement of and/or upgrades to the Elevator Equipment Room, Hoistway, Elevator Cars, and Elevator Lobbies. The selected firm will be required to enter into a fixed fee contract and provide professional liability insurance coverage. The project delivery system will be by the Design-Bid-Build process.
• The project has a total construction estimate of $850,000.
• The anticipated project schedule objectives are 1.5 months for designer selection, 3 months for project design, and 8-10 months for construction.
• The successful firm will be expected to appoint a project leader who will interface with the Wake Technical Community College's project manager.
• The firm must demonstrate experience and past performance in providing prime consultant services for similar projects.
• The firm must provide a summary of three to five projects completed within the last five years, including original construction budget, final costs, and actual start and completion dates.
