Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking bids for bagged de-icing materials (50 LB. bags) to be used by various agencies as a de-icing agent for melting snow and ice during winter events. The contract will cover the requirements for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania agencies for 50 LB. bags of Calcium Chloride. The contract is a supplement to IFB 6100060797 and 6100061430. The bidder must be certified as a Small Business through the Department of General Services’ self-certification process. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
• The contract is for a period of one year, from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027.
• The bidder must provide pricing on a per bag basis for all line items.
• The bidder must complete and return the required documents, including Attachment A - 50 LB. Bag De-Icing Bid Sheet, Attachment B - GSPUR-89 Reciprocal of Limitations Act Requirements, and Attachment C - Supplier Point of Contact Form.
• The bidder must certify that they are in compliance with all applicable Pennsylvania state labor and workforce safety laws.
• The contract price will be adjusted quarterly to offset the volatility of transportation costs.
