Description
The USGS is seeking a contractor to operate a field-located precipitation collection station on a weekly basis as part of the National Trends Network (NTN). The contractor will be responsible for collecting, processing, and shipping precipitation samples, as well as performing routine instrument checks, maintenance, and repairs as needed. The period of performance will be for a 12-month base period, plus four 12-month option periods. The USGS intends to make an award to Mr. William Parsons, unless it is contacted by any other vendor who believes they can provide the same service.
Some key responsibilities of the job include:
• Weekly site visits to collect, process, and ship precipitation samples
• Collecting, processing, and transmitting associated data, including precipitation gage records
• Performing routine instrument checks, maintenance, and repairs as needed
