Description
The Borough of Atlantic Highlands is seeking a qualified attorney (or law‑firm representative) to serve as the Harbor Commission Attorney for calendar year 2021. The role includes routine legal services on a fixed‑salary basis and extraordinary services billed at hourly rates. The attorney will attend commission meetings, prepare legal documents, and represent the commission in litigation and other matters as needed.
• Fixed annual salary for routine services: $12,000.
• Hourly rates for extraordinary services: $130 per attorney hour, $50 per paralegal hour (plus expenses).
• Minimum 8 years municipal/harbor‑commission legal experience required.
• Mandatory insurance and multiple statutory certifications (ethics, business registration, ADA, pay‑to‑play, etc.).
• Proposals due Dec 8 2020; award anticipated Jan 6 2021.
